Lili Kraus Szymon Goldberg Six Sonatas for Piano & Violin Decca DX-103 1950 VG+
Decent gloss with MINIMAL surface imperfections on AT LEAST one side that. Light sleeve scuffing - the type of mark(s) that are visible, but you still have high confidence that sound will be unaffected. Sound: I do not usually play grade classical records, as my impressions of sound will likely be different than the purchaser's. However, I thoroughly cleaned one side of this one and gave it a listen. Sound, to me, was quite strong, though there was light noise present in some passages. Label: EX+ (See grades below - As shown). Cover: Strong VG to weak VG+ (See grades below - Scuffing front cover, Two tears on front right side of box one at top edge the other centered, Scuffing along right edge of box, Visually, the spine/title is quite nice but there is a tear along top edge of box - As shown). Inner: NM (Attached booklet and sleeves are top notch, bright colors and solidly affixed). Notes: Please note that I use a very strict grading scale for classical records, as described below. This is a VERY nice offering.

Please check my store for many other high grade classical items. These are the sole responsibility of the purchaser and can be significant on higher priced items. Due to the discerning nature of classical music lovers, I typically only list items of the very highest grades. For purposes of these listings, the following grades are used.

NM has all original gloss with NO noticeable marks - the record(s) appear to be both unplayed AND unhandled (clearly, they have been handled, as I inspect each item carefully, but there are literally no traces of marks anywhere that I was able to see). EX has all original gloss but may have very faint surface imperfections on AT LEAST one side that is/are visible only on close inspection - the type of mark(s) where you see it one time and then can't find it again. Sound is still expected to be flawless, even to the most critical listener. VG+ has high gloss with MINIMAL surface imperfections on AT LEAST one side that should not affect play e.

VG has high gloss but has MODERATE surface imperfections on AT LEAST one side that are visible on first glance and may affect play - to the classical music lover, there is a likelihood that there will be minimal sound degradation. These records are typically only listed if they are more difficult to find in better condition. VG- is still glossy, but has a mark (or marks) that will have an affect on sound, though, likely, minor.

These will be described to the best of my ability. I will not play grade any classical record, as my impression of the sound quality will, likely, be much different than yours. I will do my best to accurately convey any imperfections, but please look over pictures carefully. NM has no noticeable flaws and is rarely used. EX is a very high grade but may have the most minor imperfection(s) that do not detract from the overall impression of the jacket, such as corners not being perfectly sharp. VG+ has a flaw(s) on AT LEAST one side that is visible, but is/are not overly distracting such as light wear or discoloration or CLEAN writing/sticker, corner(s) dinged, minor discoloration, or other minor flaws, up to and including minor splits. Any splits will be specifically noted.

Generally speaking, this grade is used for items that show LIGHT wear but no damage. VG has imperfection(s) that one notices at first glance that begin(s) to distract (such as shelf wear, minor ring wear, a more pronounced split, shelf wear, etc). Generally speaking, this grade is used for items that show moderate wear, but no damage. G has some sort of distracting imperfection that clearly detracts from the appearance and will be described.
